Paloma

Paloma is 20 months old! She talks about everything and has started putting her words into sentences. She says things like, "I like it too." "Here you go." "More pretzels please." It is fun to be able to have conversations with her and see what's on her mind! She is always asking for "music on", especially "Papa's song," which is the first track on the Good Shepherd Band's Wake up Sleeper album. She would listen to it a hundred times a day if we let her! She is learning about advent this season with our daily reading and hanging of an advent ornament.

She got to play in our first snow of the season, as you can see below. She was super excited, but then didn't want to touch it once she got outside. Paloma loves her little sister and wants to play with her but she's still learning to be gentle. I know what has happened when I hear from the other room "haha! Sissy...fall down..."

Miss Livy

Long overdue, I know!

Livy, as we've started calling her, is 7 months old! She sits up like a champ and likes to grab anything within her reach and stick it in her mouth. She blows raspberries back and forth with you and says "da da da" and "ma ma ma". She likes to eat, although not as much as Paloma did at this age. Usually, she is super happy and smiles so big it makes the world a little brighter!

19 months

Sweet PJ. She's a delight and is growing fast in her language skills! She is really into testing the boundaries these days, so Mama is very busy keeping her out of trouble. Paloma is becoming very social and often talks about all of her friends and is excited to see them again. One of her favorite songs is "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." She will say, "Mama, Tinkle!!" when she wants me to sing it to her.

1/2 a year old

We can hardly believe Olivet is 6 months old already! Her biggest news this month is that she's (sort of) sitting up and has started some solid foods. She likes to throw herself around, so she can't sit up for long and needs a lot of support! She is really digging the solid food. The first time we gave it to her, she screamed like it was the end of the world if it took more than half a second to get another bite into her mouth. Needless to say, I think we have another food lover on our hands. Rice cereal and mashed sweet potatoes have been a big hit!

Jody thinks she looks exactly like baby Katie in the picture below. Anyone agree?

A party

We had a special dinner where we got to spend time with some friends, served soup out of a pumpkin, and dressed the kiddos up for some pictures! Paloma, Daniel and Zion had a blast jumping on the bed, and thankfully no one fell off and bumped their head!

Olivet, the ladybug.

Paloma, the cowgirl. You can't see it very well, but Aunt Katie did two beautiful french braids in her hair that lasted pretty well until the jumping on the bed began.
